Energen IDs Permian Potential by County; Multiple Lateral Lengths

In its latest presentation, Energen Corp. has detailed its latest developments in the Permian (Delaware and Midland basins), including type curves and overall potential by county.
Midland BasinFor 2015, Energen has planned to drill most of its Midland wells with laterals ranging from 6,700' to 7,500'. However, the company is testing tighter spacing in Glasscock County, where the wells will have 4,400' laterals.
The company has identified well costs for the longer and shorter lateral wells at $6.5-7.5 million and $6.0-6.3 million, respectively.
In addition to its development well plans, Energen plans to drill three Wolfcamp wells with 10,000' laterals. These will cost $11.5-12.0 million per well.
