Permian E&P Worth $3.0 Billion Preps for IPO

Double Eagle Energy Permian LLC is preparing to file its IPO, according to multiple reports.
The company hit the scene as a result of a merger deal between Double Eagle and Veritas Energy Partners.
The company, based in Fort Worth, Texas, is rumored to be worth approximately $3.0 billion ahead of its filing ('unicorn' companies are private entities that carry a net worth of over $1.0 billion).
Double Eagle Energy Permian LLC has more than 63,000 core Midland Basin net acres (over 70% operated) located predominantly in Midland, Martin, Howard and Glasscock counties, and a team with extensive experience drilling and operating wells in the region.
The Double Eagle group of companies was started in 2009 by John Sellers and Cody Campbell through an equity investment by Apollo Global Management.
