Carrizo Continues Well Spacing Tests Across Eagle Ford, Niobrara

In its latest investor presentation, Carrizo Oil & Gas Inc. has updated its recent strategy in the Eagle Ford and Niobrara shale plays.

Eagle Ford Shale

While Carrizo is currently honed in on 330-foot spacing across the play, the company plans to further test additional downspacing as well as 'stagger-stacks' in the lower part of the Eagle Ford.

Carrizo's latest type curve includes wells drilled across 330 and 500-foot spacing.

Carrizo also updated its current Eagle Ford economics. Well costs are coming in at $5.6 million and feature 25.5 frac stages and a lateral length of 6,120 feet.

Niobrara Shale

In the Niobrara, Carrizo is currently focused on high-density joint venture projects with Noble and Whiting.
