As capital budgets for 2016 begin to emerge, Shale Experts is taking at numerous operators' spending plans and how that will impact activity on a play-by-play basis.

Today, we are looking at the Eagle Ford Shale.

Operators Talk 2016 BHP Billiton

BHP plans to spend $1.4 billion on combined Eagle Ford and Permian operations in 2016 (down from $3.1 billion in 2014 and comparable to 2015 spending levels).

The company currently has 4 rigs in the Eagle Ford, and 2 in the Permian Basin.

ConocoPhillips

Conoco has IDed a 2016 capital budget of $7.7 billion, with $2.6 billion allocated to the Lower 48
