Analysts Talk Eagle Ford: Dip in Deal Values, Lower Well Costs & Tighter Spacing

The Eagle Ford Shale play was the quintessential focal point of Hart Energy's latest DUG conference, which was held last week in San Antonio, Texas.

Two seasoned energy analysts went in-depth on key aspects of the play, including why transactions are slipping in value, the well cost curve and which operator is seeing the biggest returns.

Jeff Waterous, Chairman of Scotia Waterous Inc., gave his breakdown of the Eagle Ford concerning value drivers in the M&A market.

Currently, there are 134 operators active in the Eagle Ford with holdings between 10 and 50,000 acres.
