About
Long Run Exploration Ltd. engages in the acquisition, exploration, development, and production of crude oil and natural gas properties in western Canada. It primarily explores for crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs). The company holds interests in the Peace area located to the northeast of Grande Prairie, Alberta; Redwater area located to the northeast of the city of Edmonton, Alberta; and Boyer area located to the south of the town of High Level, Alberta. It had total proved plus probable reserves of 15.9 million barrels (Mmbbls) of oil and NGLs, and 111.9 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of natural gas in the Peace area; 12.7 Mmbbls of oil and NGLs, and 26 Bcf of natural gas in the Redwater area; and 87.3 Bcf of natural gas in the Boyer area. As of March 7, 2013, it had a land base of approximately 1.8 million net acres. The company was formerly known as WestFire Energy Ltd. and changed its name to Long Run Exploration Ltd. in October 2012. Long Run Exploration Ltd. is headquartered in Calgary, Canada.
