Print EOG Resources Inc. announced an oil discovery in the Barnett shale.
During the fourth quarter conference call EOG execs said they drilled and completed 8 horizontal oil wells. The company plans to develop the barnett combo shale oil play in Johnson county, Texas. The compnay has 250k net acres in the play, primarily in Montague and Clay county. The company said the discovery could be as much as 225-460 MMboe net.
