Rig Count: Canada Sees Two Rig Gain; U.S., International Rigs Fall by Six, 49

Rig Count: Canada Sees Two Rig Gain; U.S., International Rigs Fall by Six, 49

According to Baker Hughes' May 15, 2015 rig count report, while rig totals continued to decrease across U.S. and International markets, Canada posted a gain in rigs this week.

The U.S. rig count fell by six this week which brings the total year-over-year (YOY) rig count drop to 973. The current active rig count in the U.S. is 888.

Canada reported a gain of two rigs this week. The country's rig count has fallen by 76 rigs YOY with 77 rigs currently active.

On the International front, rig counts decreased by 49. (-147 YOY) to 1,202.
