Rig Count / Drilling Activity Week Ending - May 05, 2018

This marks another big week for rig count. According to Shale Experts Rig database, we say a net increase of 14 rigs. See the chart below. Mewbourne Oil company added the most rig this week, when the company added +3 rigs.
Permian Basin up 9 rigs this week
Haynesville Shale up 5 Rigs this week
Powder River Basin up +2 Rigs this week
Green River Basin up +2 Rigs this week

In the Haynesville Shale:
Covey Park, Chesapeake and Aethon lead this week rig count with each company adding 1 one rig each. Click here to get the details on each company drilling program.
In the Permian Basin
