The U.S. Senate has approved Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt to head up the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), according to multiple reports.
Pruitt appointment was confirmed on Friday February 17 by a vote of 52-46.
It is speculated that Pruitt's appointment will ease regulatory restrictions concerning oil and gas drilling in the U.S.
