US Drillers Dropped 4 Rigs: Permian, STACK, Haynesville Down; Marcellus Up

US Drillers Dropped 4 Rigs: Permian, STACK, Haynesville Down; Marcellus Up

This past week saw operators dropping 4 net rigs.

The Delaware Basin added +4 rig, however the Midland Basin dropped -5 rigs (last week, Laredo said it plans to drop 80% of its by Q4).

The STACK/SCOOP is down -4 rigs to end the week at 97

The Haynesville, which is dominated by private equity companies, is down -2

Marcellus is up +2 to end the week at 55 rigs.

ExxonMobil continues to dominate the drilling market, adding +2 rigs to end the week at 70 rigs.

EOG Resources added +3 rigs to 44 rigs.

Private equity backed-Indigo Natural Resources added +1 rig to close out the week at 7 rigs.

Brazos River, Pruet Production and Firststrike Energy added its first rig in the last year.
