According to the US. EIA, the Ukraine has an estimated 197 trillion cubic feet (tcf) of risked gas in place and 42 trillion cubic feet (tcf) of technically recoverable shale gas reserves. Ukraine is ranked as the second largest reserve behind Poland with 187trillion cubic feet (tcf) in Eastern Europe.
The southeastern extent of the Lublin Basin in the Ukraine, is considered the most promising however until initial wells are drilled and cored this resources is unproven.
