According to Baker Hughes' April 24, 2015 rig count report, rig counts decreased across the board as drilling activity continues to be slowed by operators across North American and International markets. However, rig count losses were noticeably slowed across North America when compared to last week's numbers.

The U.S. rig count fell by 22 this week (compared to -34 last week) which brings the total year-over-year (YOY) rig count drop to 929.

Canada reported a loss of only one rig this week, sizably lower than last week's loss of 19. The country's rig count has fallen by 89 rigs YOY.

On the International front, rig counts are still decreased by 24. (-94 YOY).
