Jonah Energy announced the addition of three members to its executive team.

The new executive team members are C. Mark Brannum - Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, David Honeyfield - Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and Rory O’Byrne - Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer.

Jonah’s CEO Tom Hart said, “We are very pleased to have Mark, Dave, and Rory joining me and Craig Manaugh on Jonah Energy’s executive team. We have been deliberate in the process of bringing the team together to establish a group of highly accomplished and experienced professionals to lead the Jonah organization. Each member of the executive team has deep skills in their respective areas of responsibility, combined with leadership and experiences that complement one another as the Jonah Energy organization focuses on growth.”

  • Mark Brannum joins Jonah Energy from Magellan Petroleum Corporation where he was Vice President and General Counsel. Mark was Deputy General Counsel at SM Energy Company prior to Magellan and a shareholder at Winstead PC, a Dallas, TX-based business law firm, prior to his time at SM Energy.
  • Dave Honeyfield joins Jonah Energy from Intrepid Potash, Inc. where he most recently served as President and CFO. Prior to Intrepid, Dave was the Executive VP and CFO with St. Mary Land & Exploration Company (now SM Energy Company), was with Cimarex Energy Co. for a brief time, and was a Senior Manager with Arthur Andersen LLP in the Denver office serving predominately oil & gas, mining, and manufacturing clients.
  • Rory O’Byrne joins Jonah Energy from MRC Global Inc. where he was the Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Prior to joining MRC Global Inc., Rory held senior human resource roles with BG Group PLC, McDermott International, Inc., Hess Corporation, and BHP Billiton.

Tom Hart also noted, “Having the executive team in place enables us to progress rapidly to building out the full Jonah Energy team. We are actively hiring to fill positions in our Denver headquarters office, as well our Sublette County, WY field office, and I expect total staff to number nearly 200 people by year-end.”
