NCS Energy Services has reported the completion of fracturing operations on an Eagle Ford well that incorporated 92 Multistage Unlimited™ cemented casing sleeves. This is a world record number of sleeves in a single completion.

NCS teamed with a coiled-tubing and frac-pumping service company to perform the frac operations using the NCS Multistage Unlimited resettable frac-isolation system deployed on coiled tubing. With no frac plugs to pump down and no balls to drop, the operation was highly efficient. At one point, 20 stages were completed in only 24 hours, and many stages were completed in less than one hour per stage. The NCS frac-isolation assembly demonstrated exceptional durability and reliability, completing the final 80 stages in a single trip. Overall, almost 6 million pounds of proppant were placed in precisely positioned fracs.

Tim Willems, NCS President, U.S and International, commented: "Everyone was very pleased with the performance of the Multistage Unlimited equipment. All 92 sleeves opened as designed, and at the end of the job, after locating, isolating, and shifting 80 consecutive sleeves for fracing, the isolation assembly looked as good as new. We’re confident that it can handle many more stages than that without tripping out of the hole."
