Riley Exploration Announces Management Changes

Riley Exploration Group has reported that Corey Riley has been named president of the privately-held exploration and production (E&P) company having served as its chief financial officer since 2012.

In his new role, Riley is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the company while working with the CEO and management team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies. Riley holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma Christian University.

Also announced today, David LaLonde has joined Riley as its chief financial officer. In his new role, LaLonde is responsible for the controllership, treasury, and economic strategy of the company. Immediately prior to joining Riley Exploration, LaLonde was a partner and director at Petro Capital Securities, an energy-focused investment bank that specializes in corporate finance, and merger and acquisition engagements for upstream clients. Earlier in his career, LaLonde worked for The Sterling Group, an operationally-focused private equity firm, and Bear, Stearns & Co.’s investment banking group. A graduate of Texas A&M University with degrees in accounting and finance, LaLonde also holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Lastly, Amy Becker, formerly a lease analyst/land administration with Riley since 2013, was promoted to Vice President of Land. In this new role, Becker will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of all company landmen, as well as maintaining records, contracts, and reports for Riley’s oil and gas properties. Becker holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

“We are extremely fortunate to have this level of talent, acumen and expertise on the Riley team,” commented Riley Exploration CEO Bobby Riley. “These promotions are very well deserved and I’m thrilled to welcome David to our team. We’ve got a deep bench and we’re poised to continue to successfully manage through the uncertainty of this market as we position Riley for the future.”
