Rosetta's Switch to Sand Leaves Carbo Out to Dry; Stock Tanks 20%

Rosetta Resources reported in its Q2 that it plans to switch to regular sand from ceramics.

Shale Experts notified its subscribers in Q4-13 of Rosetta's experiment with white sand in the Eagle Ford Shale.

Rons Dixon, CEO of Shale Experts is quoted as saying: "This should not come as a surprise since 98% of the Eagle Ford operators are already using sand in their frac/completions.  Rosetta and BHP were the two hold outs, using a mixture of ceramic in their wells."
