The Carlyle Group Taps Consultant for New Strategic Initiatives
The Carlyle Group announced that Craig J. Farr has been retained as a Senior Advisor consultant with the Global Credit group effective January 25, 2017. Mr. Farr previously served as Global Head of Capital Markets and Credit at KKR.
As a Senior Advisor, Mr. Farr will help Carlyle in developing new strategic initiatives and partnerships across Carlyle’s credit platform, which includes loans and structured credit, private credit, energy credit and distressed credit. Mr. Farr will also continue to devote time to various roles outside of the firm.
Mark Jenkins, Carlyle Managing Director and Head of Global Credit, said, “We are excited to work with Craig, a deeply experienced business leader and credit investor, as we continue to build our business in this dynamic space. Craig’s wisdom and perspective will be helpful as we enhance our strong existing businesses and consider new opportunities to create value for our investors.”
Mr. Farr said, “I am excited to assist Mark in identifying new opportunities to expand Carlyle’s capabilities in global credit. I look forward to leveraging my experience and providing my perspective to Carlyle’s proven investment teams.”
