Barclays held its annual CEO Energy-Power Conference in New York City, September 4-6.   Companies like Halliburton, Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, Keane Group and others participated. 

Here is what each company said regarding what to expect in the second half of 2018 and early 2019.

Halliburton :

Halliburton noted that the three main drivers responsible for the current softness in the frac market include:

1. E&P budget exhauston, this was way more prevelant in the in Northeast market where operators on average had spent 65-70% of their budget at the end of Q2.

2. Takeaway constraints, this has been talked about over and over, permian pipeline contraints.

3. Customer urgency.
